Winston is yet another cigarette brand manufactured by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. A special kind of tobacco called Burley is used in the production of these cigarettes that is said to give the smoke the taste of nuts. If compared to other cigarettes Winston smolders slowly and it takes longer to smoke one cigarette - although some people can see it as a disadvantage, for others it means more time talking to their friends without lighting up another cigarette. Winston is famous for its advertising campaign and the slogan that goes "Winston tastes good like a cigarette should". The slogan was later attacked as many people thought there should have been "as" instead of "like". Winston was quick to react making another ad where in the dialogue between a black woman and man a new slogan was born - when asked about the correctness of grammar in the sentence "Winston tastes good like a cigarette should" the woman asks "Do you want good taste or good grammar?" to which the man replies he would like her phone number instead. Winston brand during the many years of its existence targeted more population groups than any other cigarettes - including American Jews and African Americans.
